Your actions speak louder than words To think your opinion matters? That's absurd You hide a bank of lies behind your makeup When will you learn how to discern? The time has come for you grow up Take off your mask, not your clothes Put down your flask, bring back your ethos Take off your mask (You shower me with lies) Not your clothes (How can you not be exhausted?) Put down your flask (Why can't we make an agreement?) Bring back your ethos Just cuz your idols fall, doesn't mean you drop the ball There's a difference between following idols, and copying their every move Your actions speak louder than words To think your opinion matters? That's absurd You hide a bank of lies behind your makeup When will you learn how to discern? The time has come for you grow up Wake up your mind There's a reason you sleep alone

It's easier to come off pessimistic But looking with a clear mind always has it's ways I was just a kid when it all hit me Being 13 back when The hell did I know then? I saw a lot more than I should have But now I recognize that face when I see it on strangers Cop a smile, it wasn't money needed Keep all your change, conceded My understanding is publicly grasping for some sort of air While I'm stuck in the depths of my own past decisions But I kept my mouth shut And looked out for your solace before mine Why can't we defend the average man? You want change? It's right in front of your face Pick pocketing the poor makes a lethal circle It really pisses me off, just lend genuine help What left came back around Separating the class never does anything, just creates more conflict on it's own Break down the wall holds our unity Don't want to be your sycophant anymore

There's no time in the day, so I'll try my best Before the Midwest sun sinks down below the horizon Questions, questions, questions, concerning me But I'll be fine as long as you can't sleep at night Hey now, pick your act up, change your frown Money this, missing that You're finally right, but it's hard to accept But until then, I need some time to grow But until then, pack up and go I just need to get some Time to get sober, to let my lungs boil over When will I move forward? When will I get older? I'm sick of settling scores, cuz I'm always down one and a fucking buck short But the rhythm still goes on in my head And I'm still looking for consistency to stay "Hey pal, haven't seen you home in a while" I'm sorry Dad, this summer's been me running back and forth between who's to blame and who's to trust And I'll write you off the grid for the rest of the year Because my apathy isn't worth the compromise Time to get sober, to let my lungs boil over When will I move forward? When will I get older? I'm always down one, and I'm a buck short.

You walk around holding yourself up above us As if you’ve never even had a bad day Ignore your values and now all of your friends Just wait until it hits you You’ve hid yourself behind layers of ice But anything I say can make you crack You’re always seein red You’re always sick in bed You always act like you’d rather be dead Just lower your suspicions and then leave me alone We can go on with our lives and do this thing on our own But if there’s one thing that I taught myself from knowing you Its that you cant please every one (cant please everyone) Right by the bay Beneath the lake I sealed my fate, I buried my hate There will always be a fork in the road Erase the negativity before your seed gets sowed I'm getting sick of all of this dependence It's like no one can think for themselves It's always he said, she said It's always black and white Sensitivity never really made sense to me It's like I'm walking on eggshells Just lower your suspicions and then leave me alone We can go on with our lives and do this thing on our own But if there’s one thing that I taught myself from knowing you Its that you cant please every one (cant please everyone)

What makes you think it's okay to take them down like that? What makes you think you're the bigger person? Why must you use so much force? Do you think you'll settle the score? You'll always look back on this day and you'll see who's to blame I don't wanna see another life go to waste Keep your head up high, I'll keep your opinion in mind But just know I still have mine This is all out war, I don't wanna care about this anymore I just want all of this to end Where do you see this going? Do you see this making any progress? What do you have left? I'll find a reason to see past this struggle We have to find a better way to all come together now People shouldn't be treated this way Why would you burn your city down? Why would you tear such a beauty to the ground? It's not about where your born It's about the uniforms they wore We know right from wrong This has gone far too long Just know we will stay strong Let's not let this prolong
